Piedmont Whole Wheat

Earthy and nutty in flavor, with a smooth crumb and crisp crust, this whole wheat pan bread celebrates the relationship between the NC farmer, the NC miller and the NC bread baker with a rich and nutritious artisan bread.  The Piedmont Whole Wheat bread showcases wheat grown in the Piedmont region on Billy Carter's farm in Eagle Springs, NC, one of our state's most dedicated farmers to organic wheat.  The crop is then freshly milled through "cold stone grinding" by Carolina Ground in Asheville, NC.  This process preserves the maximum nutrition and flavor of the wheat.  One of our favorite breads for sandwiches.
